Coffee ?is best dietary source of polyphenols?

It appears that Americans? consumption of coffee is so great that it is their greatest source of antioxidants, despite its not being particularly rich in them. Dr Joe Vinson, of the University of Scranton, in Pennsylvania, says the average person in the US takes in almost 1,300 mg of antioxidants in the form of polyphenols, every day. In an analysis of the polyphenol content of more than 100 foods and drinks, Dr Vinson and his colleagues have found that the next best sources in term so their total yield in the diet are dried beans, corn [maize], red wine, beer, and apples.
