Call for better training for doctors

Doctors? lack of training in paediatric nutrition is a serious problem, according to Professor Alan Lucas, of University College London’s Institute of Child Health. Professor Lucas, who is in the process of creating the UK’s first stand-alone centre for paediatric nutrition, at Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital in London, says the subject needs to be developed as an independent area of practice.
