Research in Denmark concludes that people whose only form of alcoholic drink is wine tended to eat more healthily than others. Dr Morten Grønbæk and colleagues at the Danish National Institute of Public Health publish their findings in the BMJ. They note that in Denmark, wine drinkers tend to be better educated, wealthier, and in better psychological and physical condition than others anyway. On the other hand, people who prefer beer tend to be heavier drinkers overall.
