1 in 10 young people never cooks a proper meal according to a new survey, released by the Department of Health. However, if someone else is cooking, 16-24 yr olds favourite meal is a traditional English roast, followed by curry and then steak, and their favourite vegetables are carrots and peas.
The survey, conducted as part of the Department of Health?s 5 A DAY programme to encourage people to eat more fruit and vegetables looked at young people?s attitudes to cooking and culinary ability reveals that young people don?t cook because they ?don?t want to?, or ?can?t be bothered?.
