Researchers that pesticide levels in children’s bodies drops to zero after just a few days of eating organic produce and grains. And, according to Chensheng Lu, of Emory University in the US, the levels rise again when the children resume a conventional diet. The results, based on a study of 23 children aged 3-11, funded by the US Environmental Protection Agency, appeared online last September in the journal Environmental Health Perspectives, and discussed recently at the annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
