Malnutrition assessment recommended

New guidelines from the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (Nice) say all hospital patients should routinely be screened for malnutrition and offered specialist nutritional support if required. A report published in December by the British Association for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition estimated that malnutrition costs the NHS £7.3bn a year ? more than twice the annual bill for obesity-related problems.
