Plans by Ofcom to restrict the advertising of junk food to children have been dismissed by consumer group Which? The regulator intends to prohibit the broadcast of the ads after 9pm, after its research concluded that only 48 per cent of parents want a pre-watershed ban and 24 per cent a total ban. Which? says the ITV1 programmes most popular with four to 15-year-olds during one February fortnight were Dancing on Ice, Coronation Street and Emmerdale.
