Pre-school age children who are sensitive to bitter flavours may be particularly disinclined to eat vegetables, according to research results published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. A research team reports that those whose taste buds are particularly attuned to bitterness are less likely to eat vegetables and concludes that the results may explain why it can be so difficult to make children eat certain things.
