Charity says elderly inpatients suffer malnutrition

Elderly people in hospital are suffering because 90 per cent of nurses do not have the time to provide them with adequate care, Age Concern has warned. The charity says its research indicates that six out of ten older patients are malnourished, and that this condition is five times more likely in people over 80 than those under 50.
