Another plus for green tea?

Scientists in the UK and the US say a substance found in green tea may offer some benefits to HIV patients. They admit that their work with epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), which prevents HIV from binding to immune system cells, is at a very early stage. Writing in the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, Professor Mike Williamson, of the University of Sheffield, says drinking green tea could reduce the risk of becoming infected, and could slow its spread.
