The delayed introduction of in the UK of WHO data on the growth of babies in the first year of life has led thousands of women to overfeeding their children. The information is presented in charts which have been available for more than a year, it appears the government has made no decision on when to introduce them. There is said to be a striking difference between the new charts and those in use at the moment, which were based on Britainā??s experience before 1990 and were weighted towards bottle-fed babies.
