The World Cancer Research Fund says red meat and drinking alcohol – even in small amounts – increases the risk of developing cancer. In a report on a five-year study of relationships between body weight, diet, physical activity and cancer it says the millions of people who are now obese are running as great a risk of developing cancer as smokers do. The report – Food, Nutrition, Physical Activity and the Prevention of Cancer – includes 10 health for the prevention of cancer, covering body fat, physical activity, food and drink, dietary supplements, breastfeeding and cancer survivors.
