Egg allergy "may be overcome"

Research in Greece indicates that gradual exposure of children with an egg allergies to the cooked item may help them overcome the problem. Publishing their findings in the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, the scientists say when they fed small amounts of cake containing heat-treated egg to allergic children, and increased the amount gradually, at the end of six months 90 per cent of subjects were able to eat it without showing symptoms.
