Initial study findings suggest that eat soy products may reduce sperm counts, particularly in obese men. Dr Jorge Chavarro and colleagues at the Harvard School of Public Health say the men in their study sample who ate the most soy had 41 million fewer sperm per ml of semen than with those who ate none, but Dr Chavarro adds that the results are far from conclusive and that there is no reason to recommend that men stop eating soy. The report is published in online edition of Human Reproduction.
