Fish in the Japanese diet....

The high proportion of fish in the Japanese diet may have an influence on the low rate of heart disease in that country, say researchers in the US. Reporting in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, a team at the University of Pittsburgh says Japanese men in their 40s have substantially lower rates of atherosclerosis than American men of the sane age — despite a greater incidence of smoking, and despite their being as likely, or more likely, to show a number of other heart disease risk factors.
