IBS - "old" treatments are still good

A review by scientists in Canada of existing study results indicates that long-accepted treatments for irritable bowel syndrome — for example peppermint oil — are still helpful in easing symptoms and should continue to be used. Writing in the British Medical Journal, Dr Alexander Ford and colleagues at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontatrio, say dietary fibre and antispasmodics are also effective treatments.
